Bianca Raquel is indeed a rising talent among the new wave of singer/songwriters. I’ve called her a one woman dynamo before and she continues to live up to such billing. As promised, on the 21st of each month she unveils a new song. Her latest release “Mista Tin Man”  is a clever play on the character who doesn’t have a heart. Surely her best vocal performance to date. Bianca is delivering all the goods with this-  transparent, gifted, and burning with promise, if you have yet to indulge in Bianca Raquel, the time is now.

I’ve spoken of Bianca Raquel and likened her artistic rise to that of a flower in bloom. Having already met her numerous times, I’ve witnessed the magic of her live performance. Needless to say, I was long convinced of her talent. Natural, graceful, and layered, Bianca Raquel’s artistry is undeniable. A woman fully at the helm of her sound and her voice, she is as refreshing as she is gifted. Sound On Mars recently had the pleasure of speaking with Bianca Raquel before she hit the stage for an intimate set in Philly. Speaking on her musical pedigree, creative freedom, and of course her forthcoming project The Detox, Bianca Raquel was candid and inspiring.

Looking at Bianca Raquel is like watching a flower bloom; there’s beauty all around. The multi-taltened artist has gone from making countless uploads via Youtube, to opening up for the likes of Idle Worship and J*DaVeY, to now commanding the spotlight with her debut single, “No Hook.”

Reminiscent of 90′s R&B (a true compliment), the track is purley seductive and offers a story of all too common relationship woes. Performed, produced, and penned by that lady herlself, Bianca Raquel is the driving force behind her artistic identity. With all the promise one can muster, this lady is ready to conquer.

LIVE | Bianca Raquel At World Cafe Live

On Thursday I had the pleasure of watching Bianca Raquel take the stage in my hometown of Philadelphia. In her brief, yet strong opening set for Idle Worship, she commanded the audience with her bright personality and even brighter talent.  After sailing through some Nirvana, Kanye West, and No Doubt, she performed some original material.  “The Fuck It Song” (which quickly became a viral sensation via youtube ) showed why Ms. Raquel is one to watch. Poised, fiery, and above all, she can play.

Have you ever felt like fuck it? Well if you have, then you this is the song for you.  If not, then in due time you will (just a warning).  Apparently Bianca Raquel has felt this way, so much to the point that everything from the couch to the Facebook page gets a slashing.  “Fuck It” is not only the perfect goodbye song, it also serves as the  perfect introduction to Bianca Raquel.  She displays quite the talent as captured in this raw footage via youtube.  As the singer-songwriter is currently mixing her debut album, I’m sure there is much more rawness to be heard.
