Sigh.
After Alexandra Burke won the UK’s X-Factor back in 2008, I had such high hopes for the massive career that was ahead of her. While she has definitely had her fair share of success, her music has yet to match to her amazing talent. She’s got the voice. She’s got the face. She’s not even half bad as a performer.
If all of this true, then why does her label insist on giving her this cheesy, easily-forgettable bubblegum trash? Let’s not even get started on the contrived sexuality of her image.
With that said, her latest single, “Let It Go” is the best that she’s released so far. While it’s not exactly what I was looking for, it’s one of those tracks that you can’t exactly turn away. Get into Alex’s catchy new single below.
