Soul. It is the most transparent inner-layer of an artist. It can be heard through the rawness and conviction of a vocal performance or seen through eyes pierced with emotion. Vince Kidd delivers a striking soulful showing with this acoustic performance of “Smother Me”. Having done a little more research on this Kidd, I discovered an artist who blends soul/pop with retro production and that awe-emotive voice.
