LADY SINGS THE BLUES

Chaka Khan has a matchless voice that soars to the highest of heights and the lowest of lows. I often feel her music, her art, her legacy is not as regarded as it should be. When I saw this image i was so taken with her beauty, sensuality, and the fact that shes been singing since then 70′s.

Phyllis Hyman is another singer who goes without much deserved recognition. She could do with her voice what many singers wish they could. She had this uncanny ability to evoke feeling, heartache, and agony. It was a complete juxtapose to her ultra glamorous and sophisticated persona.

I saw these two images at the same time was left more than inspired.

SOUND OFF.
