Now this is vintage. I came across this, and wanted to share of course.

Music icon Whitney Houston graced the stage at BET’s annual Celebration of Gospel, performing a heartfelt rendition of her empowerment anthem “I Look To You.” As if it could not get any better, gospel great and friend Kim Burrell joined her in the most memorable moment of the night.
After hearing just one song created by pop duo Sleigh Bells, I was HOOKED. It was something about the way that their signature bass-heavy sound perfectly matched the irresistibly playful melodies.
Though their debut album, Treats, has been out for more over seven months, the group are slowly making their way through the mainstream, with major support from Rolling Stone, MTV and even TV show “Gossip Girl.” With their raw originality and distinctive style, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Sleigh Bells go on to become one of the top breakout artists of 2011.
Yesterday, my lovely sister brought California rapper Angel Haze‘s version of “Roman’s Revenge” to my attention and I definitely impressed. With all of the success that Nicki Minaj has had thus far, many anticipate the possible revival of female presence in hip-hop.
Could Angel Haze be the next female MC in line? More importantly, who’s “Roman’s Revenge” is best?
Her flow at the :55 mark cannot be denied…

On one of my random Google quests, I came across an interview that Erykah Badu had with Okayplayer back in 2007. While any interview with Ms. Badu is worth reading, the most striking portion of the conversation was her thoughts on fellow legend Lauryn Hill and her alleged mental instabilities as perpetuated by the media.
Ms. Badu’s insight cannot be defined as anything else but A MUST-READ.
Known for his work with M.I.A., Diplo and Rye Rye, Baltimore producer Blaqstarr steps out as a solo artist yet again his newest project, The Divine EP. Unlike most songwriters and producers who attempt solo careers, Blaqstarr distinguishes his individual sound from those that he creates for other artists.
One of the greatest artists EVER. Hands-down, talent-proven, superior-songstress of our time. She makes love to my ears with her voice, envelops my heart with her lyrics. We often throw the word “artist” and “talent” around for some strange reason in the world of music; however, this lady has infinite artistry and infinite talent.
There’s more to come…
